An Evening Study and Community Development Training Centre is functioning in Mandhithoppu, Kovilpatti. A Constitutional Rights Education Forum is also conducted for children from Classes 6 to 9.

Nithish lives in Rajagopal Nagar, Mandhithoppu, Kovilpatti. He lost his parents at a young age and studied up to Class 5 at Shenbagarajan Primary School. Due to poverty and the loss of his parents, Nithish went to Kerala with his father’s elder brother Babu and his wife Parvathi. He stayed there for three years without going to school. Instead, he helped his father’s elder brother with stove repair work.

After returning to Kovilpatti, Nithish started attending the Evening Study Centre. His interest in continuing his education gradually grew. Through the Constitutional Rights Education Forum and various awareness programmes, he learned about children’s rights and developed a strong interest in going back to school.

With the support of the team and his guardian, Nithish was admitted to Class 8 at Viswakarma Government-Aided Higher Secondary School in Kovilpatti, according to his age and the Right to Education provisions.

The centre continues to monitor his education. He is encouraged to attend the centre regularly, and the team visits his school every month to check his progress with the Head Teacher. Nithish is now continuing his education well and is happy to be back in school.

தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்டம் கோவில்பட்டி ஒன்றியம் மந்திதோப்பு பகுதியில் அலைகுடி மக்கள் உரிமைகள் இயக்கத்தின் கிளை உறுப்பினர்களின் குழந்தைகளை  கொண்டு  மாலை நேர கல்வி மையம் செயல்பட்டு வருகிறது. இம்மையத்தில் ஆறாம் வகுப்பு முதல் ஒன்பதாம் வகுப்பு வரை உள்ள குழந்தைகளை வைத்து  அரசமைப்பு உரிமை கல்வி மன்றமும்  நடைபெற்று  வருகிறது.

கோவில்பட்டி, மந்திதோப்புப் பகுதியிலுள்ள ராஜகோபால் நகரில் நிதிஷ் வசித்து வருகிறார். சிறு வயதிலேயே பெற்றோரை இழந்த இவர், செண்பகராஜன் தொடக்கப் பள்ளியில் 5-ஆம் வகுப்பு வரை பயின்றார். வறுமை மற்றும் பெற்றோரை இழந்த சூழல் காரணமாக, நிதிஷ் தனது தந்தையின் மூத்த சகோதரர் பாபு மற்றும் அவரது மனைவி பார்வதியுடன் கேரளாவுக்குச் சென்றார். அங்கு அவர் பள்ளிக்குச் செல்லாமல் மூன்று ஆண்டுகள் தங்கினார்; அங்கு தனது பெரியப்பாவின் அடுப்பு பழுதுபார்க்கும் பணிக்கு உதவினார்.

கோவில்பட்டி திரும்பிய பிறகு, நிதிஷ் மாலைநேரக் கல்வி மையத்திற்குச் செல்லத் தொடங்கினார். படிப்பைத் தொடர்வதில் அவருக்கு ஆர்வம் படிப்படியாக அதிகரித்தது. அரசியலமைப்புச் சட்ட உரிமைகள் குறித்த கல்வி மன்றம் மற்றும் பல்வேறு விழிப்புணர்வு நிகழ்ச்சிகள் மூலம், அவர் குழந்தைகள் உரிமைகள் குறித்து அறிந்துகொண்டதுடன், மீண்டும் பள்ளிக்குச் செல்ல வேண்டும் என்ற வலுவான விருப்பத்தையும் வளர்த்துக்கொண்டார்.

அம்மையக் குழுவினர் மற்றும் அவரது பாதுகாவலரின் உதவியுடன்,  நிதிஷின் வயது மற்றும் ‘கல்வி உரிமைச் சட்ட’ விதிகளின் அடிப்படையில், கோவில்பட்டியில் உள்ள விஸ்வகர்மா அரசு உதவி பெறும் மேல்நிலைப் பள்ளியில் 8-ஆம் வகுப்பில் அவர் சேர்க்கப்பட்டார்.

மாலை நேரக் கல்வி மையமானது தொடர்ந்து அவரது கல்வியை நிலையை  கண்காணித்து வருகிறது. அவர் மையத்திற்குத் தவறாமல் வருமாறு ஊக்குவிக்கப்படுகிறார்; மேலும், அவரது கல்வி முன்னேற்றம் குறித்துத் தலைமை ஆசிரியரிடம் கேட்டறிய அக்குழுவினர் ஒவ்வொரு மாதமும் பள்ளிக்குச் செல்கின்றனர். தற்போது நிதிஷ் தனது கல்வியைத் திறம்படத் தொடர்கிறார்; மீண்டும் பள்ளிக்குச் செல்வதில் அவர் மகிழ்ச்சியடைகிறார்.
