I am Ms. Nagadevi and I am a teacher in Pallapatti village motivating and guiding 37 children. I got an opportunity to participate in a day-long training session organised by IDEAS on the Safeguarding of Children and Vulnerable Persons and the Protection of Women from Sexual Harassment in the Workplace. On 10 February 2024, about 70 evening study centre teachers participated in this training session. I was highly motivated and felt proud of myself that I am part of an organisation that is committed to safeguarding children and the protection of women. I shared my learning with the children in my village and their parents. Now, everyone is aware of these two policies.

A similar experience was shared by Ms. Subhulakshmi from Kalloorani village. “I realized that IDEAS is reaching out to the most deserving children and so many young women are voluntarily serving the children of their communities. It was consoling that IDEAS, along with educating the children, takes proper care of the children and women, the most vulnerable in our society. I realized the importance of developing a culture of protection. At the end of the session, with full knowledge and understanding, I signed the 2 undertakings, committing myself to Safeguarding the Children and Vulnerable Persons and the Protection of Women. எனது பெயர் நாகதேவி. நான் பள்ளப்பட்டி கிராமத்தில் 37 குழந்தைளுக்கு எனது ஆசிரியப் பணியின் மூலம் உற்சாகமூட்டி வழிகாட்டி வருகிறேன். 2024 பிப்ரவரி 10-ம் தேதி அய்டியாஸ் நிறுவனம் ஏற்பாடு செய்திருந்த பாலியல் குற்றங்களிலிருந்து குழந்தைகளைப் பாதுகாக்கும் சட்டம் (போக்சோ) மற்றும் பணியிடத்தில் பாலியல் துன்புறுத்தலில் இருந்து பெண்களைப் பாதுகாக்கும் சட்டம் (போஷ்) குறித்த ஒரு நாள் பயிற்சியில் பங்கேற்கும் வாய்ப்பு எனக்கு கிடைத்தது. இதில் குழந்தைகள் மற்றும் பெண்களுக்கான பாதுகாப்பு குறித்த நமது நிறுவனத்தின் கொள்கை வரைவு அறிமுகம் செய்யப்பட்டது. இப்பயிற்சி அமர்வில் 70 மாலைநேர கல்வி மைய ஆசிரியர்கள் உட்பட பலரும் பங்கேற்றனர். குழந்தைகள் மற்றும் பெண்களின் பாதுகாப்பில் மிகுந்த அக்கறை கொண்ட அய்டியாஸ் நிறுவனத்தில் நானும் ஒரு அங்கத்தினராக இருப்பதில் பெருமகிழ்ச்சி அடைகிறேன். நான் கற்று கொண்ட இந்த கொள்கை விளக்கங்களை மாலைநேரக் கல்வி மைய மாணவ, மாணவியருக்கும், அவர்தம் பெற்றோர்களுக்கும் விளக்கிக் கூறினேன். அவர்களும் இந்த கொள்கைகளில் தெளிவு பெற்றனர்.
கல்லூரணியை சேர்ந்த திருமதி சுப்புலட்சுமியும் தன்னுடைய அனுபவத்தை இவ்வாறு பகிர்ந்து கொண்டார். இந்த பயிற்சியின் மூலம் அய்டியாஸ் நிறுவனத்தின் பணி குழந்தைகள் மற்றும் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட பெண்களை எவ்வாறு சென்றடைகிறது என்பதை அறிந்து கொண்டேன். குழந்தைகளுக்கு கல்வியை கற்பிப்பதிலும், சமூகத்தில் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட குழந்தைகள் மற்றும் பெண்களை பாதுகாக்கும் பணியிலும் இவர்களின் ஈடுபாட்டை தெரிந்து கொண்டேன். பெண்கள் மற்றும் குழந்தைகளை பாதுகாக்கும் கலாச்சாரத்தை வளர்த்தெடுப்பதற்கு அவர்கள் கொடுக்கும் முக்கியத்துவத்தை உணர்ந்து கொண்டேன். இந்த பயிற்சியின் நிறைவில் இக்கொள்கைகளை பற்றிய அறிவும் தெளிவும் பெற்றேன். குழந்தைகள் மற்றும் பெண்களை பாலியல் துன்புறுத்தல்களிலிருந்து பாதுகாப்பேன் என்று கூறி இரண்டு கொள்கை வரைவுகளிலும் கையெழுத்திட்டேன். அந்நேரத்தில் எனது கைகள் நடுங்கின. எனக்கான பொறுப்பின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை உணர்ந்தேன். பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்களை பாதுகாக்கும் பணியை தைரியமாக செய்ய ஊக்கப்படுத்திய அய்டியாஸ் நிறுவனத்திற்கு என் நன்றியை தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறேன்.
