I am Perumal, a member of the Adi Thamizhar Sangam in Kondaiyampatti village, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District. I have one son and one daughter, and both of them are married. My wife works as a sanitation worker in the Kondaiyampatti Panchayat and earns a monthly income of ₹6,000. This income is not sufficient to meet our family’s needs. I am also diabetic. Because of my diabetes, I have become dizzy and fainted several times, both at my workplace and at home. On several occasions, I had to be taken to the hospital through the 108-emergency ambulance service. I have been taking medicines regularly every month. However, we do not have sufficient food at home to maintain a diet suitable for managing my diabetes. Therefore, I requested support to register for the Welfare Board’s old-age pension. The Adi Thamizhar Sangam helped me with the registration process and obtained the order copy for me. As a result, I will receive Rs.1,200 every month directly into my bank account. I will use this amount to purchase nutritious food suitable for my diabetes and improve my health. I thank the Adi Tamizhar Sangam for helping me obtain the order copy.
